Assistant Store Manager

Location: Richmond, VA

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Store Manager who will work in tandem with our store manager to provide an excellent customer experience while upholding all visual and operational standards within the store. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills along with an intuitive sense for fashion and merchandising.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a welcoming environment for clients
  • Act as a role model for associates, delivering exemplary service
  • Manage associate shifts and breaks and other operational responsibilities, as needed
  • Oversees training and coaching for new and current team members to include but not limited to product knowledge, visual presentation, sales techniques, etc.
  • Train and develop a productive sales team; reach and exceed performance goals
  • Assist in the maintenance of merchandising, display and marketing standards; to include tagging merchandise and markdowns
  • Provide assistance to buyers and offer feedback regarding merchandise
  • Maintain and develop a collaborative relationship with the Fulfillment Center staff to ensure client requests are executed in a timely manner
  • Assist in planning and managing special events
  • Assistant in executing annual inventory
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback
  • Maintain a neat and organized store, stock room, and work area
  • Supports the Store Manager in all essential duties necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • 3+ years retail experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Strong eye for fashion
  • Sales experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include holidays and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Visual Merchandising or equivalent
  • Keyholder and/or Store Manager experience
